WPPSEF Releases RFP for Clean Energy Projects

Do you have a clean energy project that needs funding? We will be putting more money on the streets to support clean energy activities through a Request for Proposals (RFP). Our terms are flexible, we are easy to work with and we are looking for innovative projects that will help to change your community.

Funding priorities are:

• Revitalizing communities with sustainable energy – we are seeking innovative projects that focus on revitalizing distressed communities within the West Penn Power service region using sustainable energy technologies/ practices.
• Institutional-scale solar PV – we are seeking to co-fund institutional-scale solar PV (1-3 MW) projects that are constructed within the WPP service region.
• Fostering smart energy use – we are seeking innovative energy efficiency projects that deploy and demonstrate advanced technologies and materials.
• Driving innovation – we are seeking to support emerging and early-stage deployment innovation that will accelerate the deployment of regenerative/ sustainable energy technologies to benefit the West Penn Power ratepayer.

In addition, a limited number of grants will be considered for non-profits. Applying is easy. The deadline for receipt of the proposals is 4:00 p.m. (EST) on January 29, 2020.
