Wilson College Harry Brooks Complex

The Harry R. Brooks Complex for Science, Mathematics and Technology at Wilson College in Franklin County was the first LEED Gold certified building in Franklin County.  The building is in the heart of the Wilson College campus.  The project involved renovation of the 51,500 square foot Havens Science Center and a 25,000 square foot building addition.  The building is comprised of 11 laboratory suites, 6 classrooms, a 323-seat auditorium, 4 seminar rooms, and 2 computer labs.  WPPSEF provided $66,000 to co-fund the installation of the building’s dedicated outdoor air system (DOAS) and the solar hot water panels. The DOAS Variable exhaust and makeup air system capable of reducing flow to 40% of laboratory supply and exhaust systems when spaces are unoccupied. The building was dedicated in May 2009.
