Uniontown Firefighters Social Hall LED Lighting
The Uniontown Social Hall is owned and operated by the Volunteer Firefighters of the Uniontown Fire Department. The social hall opened its doors in 1970, completed a full renovation in 2000, and worked with WPPSEF to upgrade its lighting to energy efficient LED lighting in 2023. The hall is handicap accessible and available for weddings, showers, and family & community events. The social hall can accommodate seating for 500 with banquet tables. The lighting upgrade involved the installation of over 160 interior lights, 5 exterior parking lot lights, and 3 exterior security lights. The lighting upgrade was projected to save 265 kWh/ week while improving the interior lighting quality and improving the lighting quality and safety of the parking lot and security lighting. The electric utility savings are being reinvested in better equipment for the firefighters and services to the Uniontown community.
