PA Clean Energy Expos

PA Clean Energy Expos – Bryce Jordan Center

In 2004, sustainability was just becoming part of our conversation. Most people had never seen a 120-foot wind blade or thought about riding a Segway or driving a hybrid electric car. Few people were thinking about how to make their homes energy efficient or knew how solar photovoltaic panels generate electricity. We helped to raise the level of awareness of sustainability with two PA Clean Energy Expos in 2004 and 2006. These expos drew attendees from across the northeast U.S. and vendors nationwide. We linked energy and health with a 5K run in collaboration with American Lung Association, engaged the crowd in panel discussions to stump the Clean Energy Doctor and held numerous renewable energy workshops on high performance buildings, clean power, bioenergy, solar and wind. Our energy theater was standing room only as we showcased videos on saving energy in your home and hands-on energy education every 30 minutes.
